there once was a boy
his name was Friend
& he and Girl were inseparable
where one went
the other followed
when one asked
the other gave
it was Girl and Friend until the very end
& then they were not.
Friend changed his name
& Girl looked on sadly
there was no one left for Girl to follow
so she stood alone
waiting.
for someone she used to know to come back.
