this summer i have
fallen asleep on the beach
watched three straight seasons of dawson's creek
played field hockey till my shoes melted, each heel had a blisters the size of a plum
turned bright red
dropped a full carton of eggs
painted a room
danced in the rain
ran in a thunderstorm
cried in children's movies
read on the rooftop
made a new team
ran until my legs stopped feeling
learned to double dutch
made ice cream from scratch
become unusually attached to dr. seuss
